Saint-Gobain PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+

PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ is a new generation of energy saving glass.
It is the most energy efficient available.

Its advanced coating technology reflects radiated heat back into the room, rather than allowing it to escape through the windows.
At the same time, PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ allows free heat and light from the sun to pass in to the room through the glass.

Thermal Insulation

The advanced coating of PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ reflects heat back into the room. By using a 4-16-4 Argon Planitherm Total+ IGU, you can achieve a U-Value as low as 1.2 W/m2 K

Optimal Energy Ratings

PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ Enables a window frame to achieve an "A" Rating in the Window Energy Rating scheme.(WER)

Free Solar Heat Gain

PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ uses advanced coating technology to capture free energy from natural daylight to help heat the home. By using a 4-16-4 Argon Planitherm Total+ and Low Iron IGU, you can achieve a "Solar Factor g" of 0.74

Reduced Haze & Tint

PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ maximises the amount of natural light into the home, without the haze or tint effects associated with some older double glazed windows. By using a 4-16-4- PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ and Low Iron IGU you can achieve 81% Light Transmittance.

Reduced Condensation

PLANITHERM^® TOTAL+ helps to virtually eliminate internal condensation and reduce draughts and cold spots in and around windows.

Thermal Transmittance values represent the amount of heat lost through glazing. A lower U Value (W/m²K) is a better option for energy efficient glazing.

Light Transmittance values represent the amount of light or glare which gets through glazing. A lower percentage is a better option for roof glazing.

Energy Transmittance values represent the amount of solar heat which gets through glazing. A higher g factor is a better option for achieving Window Energy Ratings.

SGG PLANITHERM^® 4S has been developed especially for conservatory glazing applications.

Offering excellent solar control properties,reduced glare and enhanced thermal insulation SGG PLANITHERM^® 4S provides true year round comfort when used throughout the conservatory.

	Roofs	Sidewalls
Thermal Insulation	The advanced coating of PLANITHERM^® 4S reflects heat back into the conservatory. By using a 4-16-4 Argon and Planitherm 4S IGU, you can achieve a U-Value as low as 1.0 W/m2 K	The advanced coating of PLANITHERM^® 4S reflects heat back into the conservatory. By using a 4-16-4 Argon and Planitherm 4S IGU, you can achieve a U-Value as low as 1.0 W/m2 K.
Heat Reflection	The advanced coating of PLANITHERM^® 4S reflects Solar heat to help keep the conservatory from overheating. By using a 4-16-4 Argon [4S and Bio/Cool-Lite] IGU, 71% of the heat is reflected (keeping the conservatory cooler). By using a 4-16-4 Argon [4S and Bio/Cool-Lite AQUA-GREEN] IGU, 78% of the heat is reflected (keeping the conservatory cooler).	The advanced coating of PLANITHERM^® 4S reflects Solar heat to help keep the conservatory from overheating. By using a 4-16-4 Argon and Planitherm 4S IGU, 57% of the heat is reflected (keeping the conservatory cooler).
Glare Reduction	PLANITHERM^® 4S helps to reduce glare from the the sun When Planitherm 4S is combined with Bio/Cool-Lite, 63% of the Light/Glare is blocked. When Planitherm 4S is combined with Bio/Cool-Lite AQUA GREEN, 68% of the Light/Glare is blocked.	PLANITHERM^® 4S helps to reduce glare from the the sun By using a 4-16-4 Planitherm 4S IGU, only 35% of the Light is blocked, therefore keeping a more neutral appearance where vision is required through the side glazing.
Attractive Neutral Appearance	PLANITHERM^® 4S has an attractive neutral appearance.	PLANITHERM^® 4S has an attractive neutral appearance.
Easy Clean	When Planitherm 4S is combined with either Bio/Cool-Lite or Bio/Cool-Lite Aqua Green, the Roof glazing will become Easy Clean.	When Planitherm 4S is combined with SGG Bioclean (or) Pilkington Active, the Side glazing will become Easy Clean.
